Bees are amazing animals - not only play a key role in our ecosystem, They are one of the most complex and sophisticated living things in the history of evolution. A bee can only do not achieve much, but, bees collectively make it a powerful and vital force, responsible for pollinating nearly 75% two foods grown no Mundo. Without bees, our planet would be a very different place.
Due to modern farming practices, the proliferation of monocultures, disposal of natural hedges, reckless use of the genetically modified seeds and pesticides, and the expansion of the road network and urban areas, bees and other pollinating insects has undergone dramatic reductions in staffing levels, all over the world. And Portugal is no exception.
While in some countries, such as the UK, You are witnessing a concerted effort to re-create conditions for the return or expansion of these useful insects, in the field and in the cities, in Portugal or even discussing the subject!
